eCommittee - Online participation of citizens in EP Committee activities
As citizens you are important stakeholders in climate change issues. Information about how you view climate change, your value judgements and your attitude toward climate risks can yield important insights for policy makers. Your insights will help policy makers elaborate legislation that is more adapted and more likely to be accepted by the public at large.
The ourclimate.eu network is a network of EU citizens, NGOs and businesses are interested to eParticipate in the Climate Change legislation process of the European Parliament ENVI (Environment) Committee and CLI (Climate Change) Temporary Committee.
The eCommittee Pilot Project aims to find innovative ways for EU citizens to get more involved with the making of legislation at the European Parliament level through online discussions and representations to Members of the European Parliament. Overall the Project will run for up to 24 months in ten pilot countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Of course, if you happen to live outside of those countries, you can join anyone country according to your language preference.
